Do you have any Leytonstone based photographs on the theme of home?

The THIS IS HOME project would like your photos and has extended the deadline to this Thursday 30 January 2013.

THIS IS HOME is the latest Leytonstone Museum project, in collaboration with Reside at The Stone Space.

Leytonstone based photographs on the theme of home will be included in the Leytonstone Museum archive and selected images will be exhibited digitally at The Stone Space in the current residency or forthcoming final exhibition.

Reside runs at The Stone Space until 17 February 2013.

Selected photographs will be exhibited on the Leytonstone Museum website and digitally at The Stone Space gallery.

Leytonstone Arts Trail 2012 mapLeytonstone Festival and Leytonstone Arts Trail continue this week and into next weekend (21-22 July) with music, art, photography, theatre and much more.

Most of the local pubs have special events on and many events are free, or low cost.

Charity concert with international cellist Alexander Baillie

Leytonstone based charity Carefree Kids are putting on a concert at Forest School on Saturday with internationally renowed cellist Alexander Baillie, accompanied on piano by John Thwaites. Works will include Tchaikovsky, Schubert, John Ireland and César Franck. Carefree Kids does good work throughout Waltham Forest and neighbouring boroughs, and the concert is being supported by the Mayor of Waltham Forest, so come along and support this, their first ever concert. The Woodhouse Players are putting on Honour at The Welsh Church Hall on Friday and Saturday.
